The story of Bronwen Healy is a truly amazing story, that really shows how great the love of God is for each one of us.  How He loves all of us personally and that He never sees us through the eyes of man.  He doesn’t see us as we are; down in sin, behaving like animals.  He sees us through His eyes; like the ones that we will become, when He has done His work in us.

Pastor Matthew Barnett - Senior Pastor, Los Angeles Dream Center.

The woman I see is big, her thoughts aren’t like anybody elses, she shows amazing courage.  She has a different perspective on life. She is a wife, a mum, a preacher and friend.  Bronwen makes people feel bigger.  She will make you dream again.  She’s turned her nightmare into a dream, she empowers and fills people with hope through her very testimony.  You start to believe you can do anything and dream massive when you read through the black and white print.  Her attitude to life is contagious, how she values people and adores life is inspiring.  Bronwen looks for the opportunity to take someone and put them to a higher place.  She is a ‘whatever it takes person’. She wants everyone to make God famous.  And her life is the reflection of her not being content with staying in the same place.  She walks the talk….and knows how God can do a miracle in a moment of time.

Deb Malcolm - Mercy Ministires, preacher and friend.

Bronwen’s story is what the Gospel is all about.  Many people today define Christianity purely in terms of theology - an intellectual exercise, which is mainly about belief in the right things and being on the best behaviour.  This story underlines the fact that Jesus came to see lives transformed; that following Christ brings colour, joy and meaning to the individual, and that opening one’s heart to the truth of the Christian stories has the ability to turn someone around at their deepest level.  God stories such as Bronwen’s need to be told and re-told so that people realise that God is not found in the musty study alone, but in the lives of all those who have embraced this wonderful grace-filled message.

Phil Baker - Senior Pastor Riverview Church, Perth AUS; author and motivational speaker.

No it’s never over, until you give up.  Bronwens story is one of great victory and breakthrough.  Her life was a huge mess, but she just kept looking and soon she found her answer.  Her answer was finding the truth and the life that lies in Jesus Christ.  Her life now changed for good and forever, is a testimony of the life changing power of the gospel.  With man somethings are impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Pastor Mark Ramsey - Senior Pastor, Citipointe COC, Brisbane Australia.

I am mixing daily basis with people who believe that the answers to addiction can only be provided medically.  I found your testimony to be a great encouragement and an affirmation of the miracle of a ‘new creation in Christ’.  I see the wonder of God’s grace that takes the sad and negative life experiences and transforms them and makes us a vehicle of His grace in helping others who are struggling with the same experiences we have endured.  Bronwen, your book is an inspiration and a reminder to people like me that the age of miracles is far from being past!  You are a living witness to His healing and transforming power.

Major Brian Watters AO - Chairman, The Australian Council on Drugs.

In an age in which the thunderous hard-selling marketing campaign pushing the ‘drugs sex and rock and roll’ culture of decadent self-indulgence has reached screaming pitch through every arm of the popular culture Bronwen Healy powerfully and compellingly invites us to consider another perpective.  Speaking with authority and experience as an insider and a survivor saved by grace.  With disarming honesty and the courage to bare her soul, she gives a frank account of her deepest secrets, her failings and her sins.  As Bronwen narrates it, the salvation of this lost generation truly lies in doing His works and walking and abiding in His love.  She is proof.

Dr Stuart Reece - Naltrexone doctor, carer and friend.

This book is a frank and candid window on the pathway to an addiction-based lifestyle of a typical Brisbane teenager.  Bronwen’s story gives you graphic insight to what life is really like in schools, youth culture, drug sub-culture and the sex trade and needs to be heard by anyone who is interested in what really goes on.  The book contains what I beleive is the core belief and all determining factor as to whether one ever becomes free of whatever addiction binds them - the issue is one of identity.  This book is a pungent and unique contribution to the resources available for those who want to understand addiction and the way to freedom from the voice of one who has experienced it from the inside and found real and lasting freedom.

Dr David Hunt - Naltrexone doctor, Pastor and friend.

Bronwen is a walking miracle.  By rights she should be dead and buried, for that is where her drug addiciton and lifestyle were surely dragging her.  Instead she is a vivacious mother of three, a warm and persuasive communicator, and a devout Christian.  I suppose she’s just glad to be alive.  You can read her story in Trophy of Grace , but you can also meet her in person because if you invite her to speak she is most generous in putting herself out to share her horrific experience.  She has plumbed the depths for sure - but she has now most improbably scaled the heights and she loves nothing more than telling others about it. Her book is charged with hope and love.

The apostle Paul writting under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote, ”Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new.  The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, The Message Bible).  Reading the experiences that Bronwen Healy has encountered, one meets the power of God head-on that is released in a person’s life upon being united with Christ.  What a journey!  Trophy of Grace  is confronting and care-fronting, challenging and encouraging, gripping and releasing.  But most of all it is a testimony of the grace of the Lord Jesus evident in a life broken before Him.

Trophy of Grace is a courageous offering to help others who have lost their way.  If the most miserable people in the world are those who live to make themselves happy, then Bronwen must be one of the happiest people on earth; for in barring her soul she exposes herself to others judgement and criticism.  As a close observer of her changed life, I would endorse her desire to use her experience as a warning and a hope for others who have travelled down the same path.  As a pastor, I am so proud of her book, and even more thrilled by the life she leads as proof of the truth of her written words.

Pastor Jan Campbell - Citipointe COC, Brisbane Australia.
